Virginia Tech chose Anthony Quinn to represent their school in the American Eagle Campus Comedy Challenge and it marked the last show of the tour. It’s a wrap! So I would like to take this time to thank everybody. Thank you to American Eagle, Wendy Kula, Dave Rath, Anne Hong, Neal Roscoe, Seth Pechanksy, Cash Hartzell, Carl Johnson, Chris Redwine and Omar Johnson. Thank you to all the schools, students and student comics who participated in the contest. It was a great experience for myself and I will never forget it.
Now, it’s your turn to vote!

So we knocked the University of Maryland out. Matthew Liebman walked away as the winner for the evening. It was surprisingly warm in College Park, Maryland. That was nice. It made me think about the final show in Cancun coming up…quickly. I’ve never been to Cancun. In fact, I’ve never experienced a spring break. Should be wild and crazy. Some good ol’ American Eagle fun. I got my American Eagle sun visor and flip flops ready man. Plus I’m gonna work on my tan. - Jasper
Man we had a great turn out at Seton Hall. We ran out of seats and people had to sit on the floor.
The show was real fun. Gary Denoia was voted the winner. After the show I realized we’re
nearing the end of tour. It’s really been an experience. Glad I was given the opportunity to
take part in this. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I’m gonna miss it.

From a crew point of view, I’m really enjoying being a part of the tour. I get to catch all the shows, as well as be a part of making it happen. Also, getting the chance to interact with some of the professional comedians as we are travelling on the road together, is a great experience. Great team, great talent and a fun time!
About me: While saving money before heading off to audio and business school, I was working many jobs. Retail was a common side job for me, and I worked a position at the American Eagle store in Christiana Mall, Delaware. Having worked many jobs in music stores, restaurants and clothing outlets, one of my favorite associate positions was with American Eagle Outfitters. I liked the style of clothing, classic and fresh at the same time. Just done the right way, so I felt comfortable in the stores promoting their product. I think their marketing edge today, with this comedy tour is a really cool idea. It gets the kids into something positive, while promoting a good brand, a good style and comfortable clothing,
all at once. Who doesn’t enjoy some good, free comedy?!? Glad to be an essential part of this tour!

Ann Arbor’s own Julia Young took the majority of votes Friday night at the Univ of Michigan to be the first young lady to advance in the competition. No disrespect to the the other student comics that night, but Julia was great. She couldn’t be denied. So congrats to her. Right now we’re in West Orange, NJ getting ready for our show at Seton Hall. AE Tour comedian Sheng Wang is in New York currently preparing to tape his tv debut for Comedy Central’s ‘Live at Gotham’. So being that we’re only thirty minutes away from the Big Apple, we’re gonna go take a bite of it and visit Sheng. Yep.

The show at the University of Rhode Island had to be one of our best so far. All the student comics were real funny. It was a shame only one could win. Billy Horrigan was the chosen one. It was only his second time on stage and he ripped it. So even though Rhode Island is the smallest state, it packed a big bang. All the kids enjoyed the show and thanked all the comedians at the end. So I wanna take this time to say Rhode Island, Thank You.
We flew into Boston, MA…and after indulging in some scrumptious seafood, we were on the road again and headed to the University of Rhode Island. This was an incredible show. The audience came in laughing and the student comedians displayed an impressive array of writing and performance skills. They were so good, so original, and simply inspiring. I found it hard to believe that some of them had little or no previous experience in standup…including the winner, Billy Horrigan. Congrats, Billy! Well done and well deserved. We’ve got a couple days off as we drive down to our next destination: Ann Arbor, MI. Maybe we’ll take a break from jokes and do a detour in Detroit to do some battle rapping. Watch out!

So after a brief break we resumed the tour in Tampa at the University of South Florida. Tampa was nice and warm. Probably will be the warmest weather we’ll encounter until the finals in Cancun, Mexico. To match the heat of the sun that day, we had a hot show that night at USF. Daniel Reskin took home the crown in one of our closest voting results of the tour. He barely beat out the other two student comics, Mike Mayo and Akeem Viel. So after catching an early flight outta Tampa the next morning, the crew and I are now in Boston, MA chilling out. Our next show is at the University of Rhode Island. I’m looking forward to going to the smallest state in America. That’s been one of the coolest things about this tour as that alot of us are seeing parts of this country we’ve never been to. It’s really something. I can’t wait to buy a map and backtrack all the places I’ve been. And the best part is that we’re not done yet.

I think Seattle has to be the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to. It really was a treat to spend two days there. I ate sushi on the wharf, went to the Experience Music Project museum and then told some jokes to cap off the trip. The next morning, right after the University of Washington show, Bryan Callen and I flew to Las Vegas to do a show for an American Eagle conference. Man, that was a fun show. This show was particularly fun because eight of the American Eagle district managers and higher ups, including top dog Joe Kerin, did stand up for the show. I was quite impressed with how everyone seemed so comfortable on stage. Not a shy one in the bunch. Jason Marks was voted the winner of the evening and won a trip to Cancun, Mexico, which is where we will be holding the finals for AE’s Campus Comedy Challenge. It was my first time going to Las Vegas and I enjoyed it. Those American Eagle folks know how to have a good time.
Cheers.

So the gang and myself are now on the West Coast in the state of Washington. After starting the tour in the Midwest and dealing with all the snow out there, it feels good to see grass again. Washington really has some beautiful landscapes. Anyway, Morgan Murphy and Kevin Christy have joined the tour. They knocked it outta the park last night at Washington State University. The kids loved them. Scott Robinson was the victor for the evening. He told me he had zero experience in doing stand up but it didn’t show. His swagger was phenomonal.
I’m writing this in the van as we’re headed to Washington State’s rival, the University of Washington. I’ve never been to Seattle before. I can’t wait to check out the city. We have a day off in Seattle, so a few of us are gonna check out the Jimi Hendrix inspired Experience Music Project museum. Bryan Callen says I remind him of Jimi Hendrix when I perform. I think that’s the coolest compliment I’ve ever got. So excuse me as I kiss the sky.
